Eagle Scout Project at the Veterans Memorial

In October 2010, Eddie Knibloe, a senior at Williamsville South High School, took on the refurbishment of the Veterans Monument in Williamsville Cemetery as his Eagle scout project. Eddie is a member of Boy Scout Troup 85. His project included re-landscaping the area around the monument, relaying the marble walkway and having the monument power washed. In addition, Eddie researched the conflicts that have taken place since the Vietnam War (the last conflict to have occurred before the monument was placed) and had the monument updated with the names and dates of those conflicts. For his efforts, Eddie was honored by The George F. Lamm Post, American Legion Post #622 at the annual Veterans Day Ceremony at the cemetery on November 11, 2010.
